LSSM Strings – Group Strings Program

The LSSM Strings program serves as a perfect adjunct to private lessons in string instruments, exposing string students to the chamber music (small group) setting to develop self-sufficiency as well as teamwork through peer interaction. Focusing on various aspects of musicianship, students are challenged to utilize techniques gained as a solo performer, and apply them in collective performance, requiring strong listening skills, sight reading ability, and confident musicality. Designed to reinforce students’ learning in private lessons through collective musical tutelage, each student is motivated to practice as a valuable ensemble member.

The Voices of LSSM Group Program

The Voices of LSSM group program offers Gwinnett’s young vocalists, ages 6-10, an opportunity to light up the stage while learning the fundamentals of vocal technique. Our group voice teachers coach young singers to utilize their voices safely, with proper breathing technique, vocal exercises, and appropriate posture, while singing popular songs from musical theater to the classics as well as today’s pop hits! The Voices of LSSM look forward to performances in our biannual recitals as well as numerous performance opportunities throughout Georgia. Enrollment is determined by audition.

LSSM ROCK! – Group Ensemble Program

Jam to your favorite tunes with our new group guitar and ensemble classes, LSSM Rocks! The LSSM Rocks program serves as the perfect complement to private lessons. Our teachers will bring the tunes and fun while preparing students to participate in various community performances and special events. Students will learn a variety of styles including exciting and contemporary pieces as an ensemble. Group classes build on teamwork! Students gain confidence and develop creative expression as they learn and perform with their peers. Students who participate in group classes in addition to their private lessons progress at faster rates, stick with their instruments longer, have greater self-esteem, and develop a stronger appreciation for music!

I really enjoy taking music lessons at this school. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I am an adult student who started from scratch at the beginning of the year, and I am now working on full songs. My teacher, Mr. Steuart, is very patient, professional and great to work with. I am very happy I picked this school for my music learning goals.

This school has been so flexible during the COVID19, and offered numerous bonus classes that varies in activities to keep my daughter busy. Plus, my daughter loves her teacher. I have been scattered during these crazy times and the school has been touching base to ensure I have what I need and that my daughter stays on track. Highly-recommend!
